IMPORTANT: From the ISCC Bylaws, Article II, Sec. 3, Election to Membership

(a) Regular - Each applicant for membership shall apply on a form as approved by the Board of Directors and which shall provide that the applicant agrees to abide by the Articles of Incorporation and the Bylaws of the Club, and the rules of the American Kennel Club. The application shall … carry the endorsement of two members in good standing other than the Recording Secretary. Dues for the current year shall accompany the application. All applicants are required to attend at least one meeting prior to election to membership. …

The ISCC Bylaws are typical of similar organizations and cover items related to membership, officers, elections, conduct of business, etc. If application was mailed to you, a copy of the current Bylaws should accompany this form. If you downloaded the application from the Club website, please also download the Bylaws and read them before submitting application. From the ISCC Bylaws:

ARTICLE I

Name and Objectives

SECTION 1: The name of the Club shall be the Irish Setter Club of Colorado, Inc.

SECTION 2: The objectives of the Club shall be:

(a) to encourage and promote quality in the breeding of purebred Irish Setters and to do all possible to bring their natural qualities to perfection;

(b) to urge members and breeders to accept the standard of the breed as approved by the American Kennel Club as the only standard of excellence by which Irish Setters shall be judged;

(c) to do all in its power to protect and advance the interests of the breed by encouraging sportsmanlike competition at American Kennel Club sanctioned and/or licensed events and Irish Setter Club of Colorado club functions;

(d) to conduct American Kennel Club sanctioned and/or licensed events under the rules and regulations of the American Kennel Club;

(e) to conduct Irish Setter Club of Colorado club functions as applicable;

(f) to educate the members and general public about purebred Irish Setters;

(g) to be representative of the breeders and exhibitors of the State of Colorado;

(h) to promote cooperation and good sportsmanship among its members in attaining these objectives.

*To help meet these objectives, members are strongly discouraged from selling any dogs to pet shops or suppliers for resale.

Acceptance of membership in the Club indicates your willingness to abide by the ISCC Bylaws and the rules of the American Kennel Club.
